error - the memory could not be "written"

i am recieveing an error when trying to access certain
parts of a program based on access 2000. the error is

DDE Server Window:MSACCESS.EXE - Application Error

The instruction at "0x65255517" referenced memory
at "0x000d0021". The memory could not be "written".
click on OK to terminate the program
click on CANCEL to debug the program

can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?
