Error: "There was an error opening the enterprise resource pool."

When attempting to open up a Project, I receive the following error:

"There was an error opening the enterprise resource pool.
You may not have sufficient permission to access the selected resource(s).
Would you like to retry?"

When I hit retry, I get a dialog asking me to select a Data Source/DSN name.

I have Administrator rights, so I should have "god" rights to everything.

One thing to note is that this error happened only after upgrading to MS
Project 2003 (from 2002).

Could there be something missed in the upgrade path?

Please advise (also let me know if I should post this in the .project
newsgroup).

Thanks!

This isn't something that there's an easy answer for. You'll need to examine
the database and system error logs to start troubleshooting.

Can you be more specific?

Which logs do you want me to check? Are they specific Project Server Logs?
Or, should I look for Windows 2003 Server logs? Or both?

I'm relatively green with this stuff, so any insights would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks.

I checked the Event Viewer and found no Application, Security our System
Errors that were caused.

Please advise on my next steps.

Thanks.

One other thing I'd like to add about this problem: I can edit people in the
Resource Pool (e.g. change the spelling of their name) and save it without
an issue. I cannot, however, add a new user.

Perhaps there is something in the SQL Server setting?

Please advise.

Thanks.
