Error trying to create project in Visual Interdev

I have read about many other people having the problem I am having,
and even though I have tried to follow all of the solutions so far,
nothing has worked. I feel as if I am in a perpetual loop trying to
solve this issue:

I have Windows 2000 Pro, and Visual Studio 6.0 SP5. I have installed
IIS with FrontPage 2000 extensions on my computer. I am trying to
create the sample gallery project in Visual Interdev. I continually
get an error which says to check your logs for the error (very helpful
message). I check the log and I get three errors:

Error #1:
FrontPage 4.0
EventID = 1000
Microsoft Frontpage server extenstions:
Error #80002: System Exception, Access Violation

Error#2:
FrontPage 4.0
EventID = 1000
Microsoft Frontpage server extenstions:
OS Error 1073741819: Exception occurred at 0x.....

Error#3:
FrontPage 3.0
EventID = 1000
Microsoft Frontpage Server Extenstions:
Received empty response from Microsoft Frontpage server extention

This appears to be a permissions issue (i.e. that Visual Interdev does
not have permission to create the project on the web), but I am unable
to find a fix for it. I have spent way too long trying to fix this and
I needed a solution yesterday! How do I fix this?

Can you open the same Web site in FrontPage?

If you haven't tried this, please do so.

If you *can* open the site in FrontPage, your problem is
specific to Visual Interdev. Please try one the
microsoft.public.vstudio newsgroups.

If you can't open the site in FrontPage, try the
