This morning I swapped computers for one of my users. The
previous and current system that he is using has Office 97
installed on it. With the new system that he now has, a
Dell Precision 530 workstation, when he opens some Excel
files he gets the message stating :
"A document with the name FILENAME is already open. You
cannot open two documents with the same name, even if the
documents are in different folders. To open the second
document, either close the document that's currently open,
or rename one of the documents."
This does not occur with all of the Excel files that he
attempts to open but only with a handful of them. As far
as I can tell there is only one instance of the file being
opened when this message occurs. Any thoughts on why this
may be occuring would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and have a great day,
