Error when accessing resource tab in Project Server

Whenever we access the resources in project server we
receive the following error.

Error while trying to access the resources stored in the
database. Either there are too many resources or the
Microsoft Project Server may not have the correct DSN
configuration.

Anyone have any idea what this error means and how to fix
it?
