Error when clicking on hyperlink

I have an excel spreadsheet that has a lot (close to 100) hyperlinks. Several
of the links aren't working correctly. When I click on them I get the
following error "Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to
complete an OLE action." The error comes up 3 times. When I click the link
the 4th time the document that I'm hyperlinked to comes up without a problem.

I'm running Windows XP SP2
Office 2002 SP2.

All of the documents that are linked to in the Excel spreadsheet are in the
same directory as the Excel spreadsheet only in different subdirectories.
