I have a frustrating problem.
A set of users at my company is moving from Office 97 to Office XP. We have
one person left to update. The group had been sharing documents back and
forth between versions, until they became corrupted (immediately upon opening
in XP, you'd get a Debug error, 97 worked ok). We are now recovering the
documents by opening and saving them in Office 2000. I'm seeing a weird
pattern in XP
I'll open a document in Office 2002, and close it. (it doesn't matter if I
save or not).
I'll open a second document (or the same one a second time), when I close it
I get a generic error (regardless if changes were made or the document was
saved).
It doesn't matter whether I make any changes or save the document, it
crashes upon closing the second document.
The only other variable aside from the 97 is that these are Bloomberg
spreadsheets, with many calcualtions from realtime Bloomberg data.
Any thoughts?
