Windows XP tries to sign into Live communiactions server

Signing in to SIP communications service failed becuase
your computer clock is not properly set. Please check in
the Widnows Control Panel to see if the date and time are
adjusted for daylight savings and the correct time zone.

Bothe the time zone, and daylight saving are set
correctly on this users PC.

Dear John,

From the error message, it seems that the time of the client or Live
Communication Server has some problem. Do you try to sign in Live
Communication Server from internal network or outside? Does this issue
happen for all users or just some particular user? Does the client computer
join domain?

This problem may occur when the Live Communication server does not
synchronize with the DC properly. Please refer to the following Microsoft
Knowledge Base article to synchronize time of LCS and the client with DC:

216734 How to Configure an Authoritative Time Server in Windows 2000
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=216734

For the authoritative server, we can configure it to maintain an accurate
time by using an external precise (and trusted) NTP source. For other
computers, we can synchronize with it. On the problem server, please
perform the following steps to ensure that the time service is working
properly:

Step 1: Check Time Service
---------------------------
If the time service is not working properly, the time will not synchronize
with the time server. Let us ensure it is started:

1. Click Start, and click Run.
2. Type "services.msc" in the text box, and click OK.
3. Ensure that Time Services is started and configured as "Automatic".

Step 2: Run the following steps to refresh time server
----------------------
1. Click Start, and click Run.
2. Type "cmd" in the text box, and click OK.
3. Run the following commands:

net stop w32time
w32tm -once
net start w32time

In addition, please ensure that the logon user has the correct user name
and password.

Have a nice day!
