Error When I Open and Office Application

I removed Office XP from my computer and installed Office
2000. Now when I try to open Word or Excel, I get the
message: Compile error in hidden file: Autoexec.

I can't find anything on knowledge base about this. Any
ideas on what to do to fix it?

I would really appreciate it.
