Error when inserting objects

I am getting the following error when I insert an object
into an OLE control:

You can't assign a value to this object

*The object may be a control on a read-only form
*The object may be a on a form that is open in Design View
*The value may be too large for this field
___________________________________________________________

This is all well and good, but when I click "OK", the file
is inserted anyway.

Any thoughts?
