Hi All,
I tried to update a clients Office installation on there Windows XP PC via
http://office.microsoft.com
I downloaded the installer for SR1a, ran it, download/install started then
unfortnatley the customers ISDN line dropped, so I lost my connection. I
then tried to re-run the install after a reboot and fixing the ISDN, I ran
the downloader, and I now get this message:
---
Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Update did not complete
successfuly. For assistance, contact Microsoft
Technical Support.
See the log file: Office 2000 SR-1 Setup(00002).txt
---
I did a search for the log file, opened it - No useful clues, so deleted the
folder that contained the file (Something like c:\documents and
settings\<username>\temp\office sr1 (Sorry, cant rememer the exact name of
the folder)
I then ran the install again - Same error, and the folder I deleted just
reappears.
I'd really appreciate some help with this, so if you have any ideas please
let me know.
Many thanks for reading,
Simon.
