error when installing Office 2000

This has something to do with W2K sp4. One of the patches locks, I suspect,
a .dll that the Office installer uses to copy installation files to a temp
folder. Just which patch this is I don't know, and no one from MS has been
forthcoming with a solution to this dilemma. Perhaps if more people relate
this problem something will happen. BTW downloading and installing the
latest installer version from MS has no effect.

Try the following it worked for the problem that I had with SP4 installed on Win 2k and error 1933 installing Office 2000 Pro or Standar
1. Download the SP4 full install from Microsofts site and using winRAR or Winzip extract the file to a location on your Hard Drive and burn it off to the root of a CD
2. Re-install SP4 from the following location X:\update\update.exe (x: represents cdrom drive
3. install office 2000 and you should be goo
