ERROR WHEN INSTALLING OFFICE 97 PRO

When I attempt to install Office 97 Pro on my PC I get the
following message: program needs to be installed to run.
Please run setup from place of installation. Is there a
work around for this problem.

I had Outlook 2000 on my PC because my PDA uses it to sync. I
don't know if this causes the problem.
