Error when PowerPoint shuts down

J

JohnP

All of these add-ins are ones that ship with PPT as part of the document
inspector, so those shouldn't be causing problems.

I'm stumped. The fact that a reinstall fixes it temporarily is particularly
interesting.

Hopefully someone else will pop here with ideas. You might want to post in
the PowerPoint-specific group to see if anyone there has any ideas, too.

Oh, what antivirus program do you use?

I understood it was a serious question and responded but the response did not
transfer because I copied the query and pasted it before the answer was
registered.
I am using the 2007 version of Norton Protection Centre with the update to
allow it to operate with Vista. All updates are installed.

Cool, thanks.

You might want to disable Norton's Office plug-in. I know it's caused odd
issues like this in previous versions.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/329820 might help with that. I know it
doesn't list your issue specifically, but it's worth trying. (Sorry I didn't
think about the A/V thing before suggesting you move your post over here!)
