Error when Scrolling with Mouse

I am using Word 2002. When I scroll "up" (towards the beginning) of a document using the scroll wheel on my mouse Word makes an error. Paragraph headings appear twice, with the second instance replacing the first line of a paragraph. The problem is only with the display, the file is still fine. This error does not occur when using the scroll bars or arrow keys. It only occurs when using the scroll wheel on the mouse. I have tried several mice and confirmed that the error occurs with each of them

Does anyone know of this error? Is there patch to fix this problem
