Every minute I get an error message from Entourage reading "5.1.2 or other punctuation after the recipient's email address. 25sm2780543aga.5" This has been going on for 2 days, my error log is full of this error. I'm not even sending or receiving email when I get this message, it just keeps occurring. How can I fix this?

Did you install the Safari 4 beta? If yes, uninstall and see if that fixes
it.

Nope, but I think I'm getting the error when the "send and receive all" happens, because it refreshes every minute, so I think Entourage is trying to send an email but I'm not sure what or how...

Checking every minute doesn't give Entourage time to connect. Try setting
for a longer period of time and see if the problem goes away.

I'm having the same problem and my email is set to send/receive every
10 minutes. Is there another way to fix this?

Send & Receive problems are the hardest to troubleshoot. Every ISP is
different and have problems at different times of the day. If it's working
most of the time, it's not Entourage. If it's not working at all, then we
need to look at your settings:

1. If you can receive but not send then you have a bad SMTP configuration
2. If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration

You can try re-entering info.
You can delete account and create a new one.
Using copy/paste can result in an extra space being added. Type carefully.
Check your Keychain for corruption.

Lately, many ISPs upgrade their servers with security updates and this often
requires your settings to be changed for authentication. You should have
been notified if there were changes but some users just don't see the
message in the spam box or their ISP didn't notify anyone. Call or view
their web site and hope they have updated the info there.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I'm receiving the error message from Entourage 2008 reading "5.1.2
or other punctuation after the recipient's email address.
25sm2780543aga.5" the same way described in the above thread. I've
tried all the suggested fixes, but unfortunately still have this error
'5.1.2' happening several times each minute. It's very frustrating,
is there any way to atleast turn off all error messages, or just turn
off the pop up error log box? I am still send/receiving all mail with
no problems. I have a @me.com, @gmail.com, and google apps email all
logged into Entourage 2008 for Mac.

Thanks in advance for any help!

-Wes
