Error when trying to convert from ps. file to pdf.

I have just started experimenting with Publisher 2003. I have followed the
instructions to the letter in tweaking the Adobe Acrobat 6 print properties
according to the Publisher 2003 Prepress Reference Guide.
- When I save the file as a postscript file and then use Acrobat 6 Distiller
to convert to PDF, I get the following error:

This also happens with JAWS Distiller.
Please let me know if someone has an explanation for this error
I am using Windows XP new, new computer.
I have uninstalled and re-installed Publisher and acrobat twice but get the
same error.
