Error when trying to delegate calendar rights

I am trying to assist a user to delegate rights to her calendar but when we
click Appy or OK the following message comes up: "The Delegates settings were
not saved correctly. Cannot activate send-on-behalf-of-list. You do not
have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object."

I have searched on the error and have not been able to find any answers.

She is using an XP machine with Office 2007 installed.
