Error when trying to use mail handler program

I recently installed a dlink wireless router and am now using my laptop. I
also use a mail handler program (Incredimail), Now the incredimail is giving
me the following error:

Socket Error: 10061 , Port: 25, Protocol: SMTP.No connection could be made
because the target machine actively refused it.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I can still get my e-mail by
going directly to the ATT.net website.
