Error while defining Timesheet Periods

HI,

I am getting two errors -

A. After defining the Financial Periods I clicked Save for defining the
Timesheet Periods I got this error - DataSource property must be set to
DataSet, DataTable or XmlGridBinding. To take care of this error I changed my
computer name which was having a Underscore in it to hyphen. Please let me
know if this is correct.

B. After the reboot (bcos of A above) I tried to access the sharepoint
central Administration to check if everything is working as it was b4. But
then the SP Central Administration was not accessible. So I disconnected the
existing farm and reconnected it to change the database server name (with
hyphen). I retrieved the config database name and entered the user name and
pwd. when i clicked 'Next' at that i got an error mentioned that the
Sharepoint Config DB does not exist on the new database server.

Please help as I am stuck.
