Error while opening MS Word 2002

S

Sanjay Mishra

I've MS Word 2002 as a part of MS Office XP. I have
never had any problem with it.

A few days ago I noticed that I get the following error
message in a message box when I open MS Word:

This add-in template is not valid.
D:\Program Files\...\~$FMaker.dot

I am able to continue using Word after clicking the OK
button in the error message box.

What could be the problem and how can I fix it?

Thanks

Sanjay Mishra.

From the looks of it, at some point Word shut down without closing the
PDFMaker.dot add-in, leaving the "owner" file open. Word is trying to load
this temp file as an add-in. You should be able to solve the problem by
removing the temp file from Word's Startup folder.
