Error with AutoCorrect file in Office

Paul

I have the following error coming up when i try to use an office pro 2002
document:

Your AutoCorrect file, C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Microsoft\Office\MSO2057.acl, could not be saved. The file may be
read-only, or you may not have permission to modify the file.

After opening a document and entering the one character, the program freezes
until this error comes up. Once OK is clicked on the program can be used as
usual. The program itself is installed on the computer but the data files are
held on a server. This error only comes up on the one computer when a
particular user tries to use office. Other users logged in do not get the
same error. I've tried to go back to a restore point when office was working;
i've tried re-installing office and i've tried going to the file in question
and then right clicked on it to try and get properties up but it just
freezes. i've also tried turning off "check spelling and grammer" before
writing anything in an office document but the same error comes up anyway.
anyone have any idea how i can remedy this? (using windows xp)
