I'm having a strange problem with Access on my new PC, and
am hoping someone can help me out with it. When importing
a text file into Access as a new table, I have a weird
error during the import process that I can't figure out.
Basically, on the fourth screen that comes up during the
import process, you are supposed to be able to use the
Field Options area to change informationa about each of
the fields you're importing (change the name, datatype,
whether or not the field is indexed, etc.). For some
reason, I can't change between fields on this screen; I
can change the name of the first field just fine, but when
I click on the second field (or any other field, for that
matter) and try to change it, the area above it still
shows the information for Field1 and just renames my first
field over and over.
I've checked, and it's not just my PC that this is
happening on. A coworker here at work who is using the
same version of Access 2002 (Version 10.6501.6626 SP 3) is
having the same problem. Is this a bug with a new version
of Access or something?
Thanks for your help with this.
