Error with MSNBC Weather Component

Andrew MacLean

Hello all,

I'm having a problem that I just can't seem to figure out. I have created
a website that includes 3 instances of the MSNBC Weather Component. In
design mode, I can see each of the components and modify their properties.
They also retain those properties. However, whenever I try to preview the
site in Internet Explorer, I get the following error:

A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?
Line: 136
Error: 'makeWeatherObj' is undefined

I have searched my registry for 'makeWeatherObj', but it was not found.
When I go to the published Web Site, I get the same error, even though I
have not changed or updated that site. That would leave me to beleive that
the problem exists on my computer, and not on the server.

The only thing I did on my computer was to copy the 'My Web Sites' folder
from 'My Documents' to 'D:\My Web Sites' and rename 'My Web Sites' to 'My
Web Sites 1" in the 'My Documents' folder. I can't see how that would be
the problem. I even renamed the copy in 'My Documents' back to 'My Web
Sites' just in case, but that hasn't fixed it.

Does anyone out there have any idea what could have caused this. It
obviously worked at one point.

Thanks,

Andrew MacLean

Same response as your previous post
MSNBC has updated their links recently
Remove and then reapply the components, save you pages and preview again

Thanks Stefan,

I had actually done that too. It still had the problem. What ultimately
fixed it for me was to go to:

Tools>Recalculate Hyperlinks...

That seemed to do the trick.

Thanks a million for the help,

Andrew MacLean
