I was hoping someone here could help me with an issue I've been having. I have been having a problem getting Office 97 to work properly on roughly 50 computers in my office. After the initial install, Office 97 will work fine until an update or patch is installed from Microsoft's website. At this point Office 97 will stop working and it will require a reinstall to get it working properly again. When it stops working it never even gives an error message. After you click on Word (for example) to open it, it takes about 5 minutes and then the word splash screen comes up, and it will stay there as long as you have the computer running. Eventually it shows "Not Responding" in task manager but never produces an error on the screen. Does anyone have any ideas of what might be causing this? It only seems to happen after MS Patches are pushed out to the systems..
As a side note, all systems are running Windows 2000 Service Pack 4, all have 384+ mb of RAM, and all have at least 10 gb hard drive space free.
