error with save as in office 2007

Problem started only after upgrading from Office 2003 to 2007.
I can open all files in the network and can save to the network as long as
it is the same name of the file I open from the server. But I can not save a
file to a new name on the server. I have found a way to cheat. I save the
file to my hard drive and then drag the file to the server. How can I fix the
save as error?

That sounds more like a network permissions problem. Is it just your PC that
has this problem? Is it just .docx/docm files or is it only for legacy .doc
files? Are other users having the same problem? If you set Word2007 to
Legacy mode, are you able to save now?

I have a client who is having the same problem with Word 2007 and Excel 2007,
any solutions to this problem? My client is getting tired of saving to his
local pc and then copying back to the server every time he wants to do a
File.Save-As

Is there some third party add-in screwing with Word. Get them to test in
Safe Mode. From Start Run (Winkey+R), type in

winword /a

and press enter. Try opening and saving some documents now. Does it work in
Safe Mode?
