I have a drawing that was created with Visio 2000. I recently upgraded to
Visio 2003. When I open the drawing I cannot select any objects, when I do I
get an error "An error (1415) occurred during the action Open Object. Visio
is unable to edit the Visio object."
I did a search for this error and came across an article that said it was an
issue with 2003 and that I needed to save it as an earlier version, then
reopen it with 2003 and it would correctly convert it. I tried that, doing a
save as....and then saving in 2002 .vsd format. I reopened it with Visio 2003
and still get the same message. Seems as though upgrading isn't always the
best idea if Microsoft can't fix their software. How do I get around this
short of reverting back to 2000?
