Error working remotely

Hi,

We are running Outlook 2003 on exchange 2000 at work, and while traveling
(just internet connection, no VPN), I can receive but not send messages.
The messages we receive are:

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004011D): 'The server is
not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists.'

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server - Sending' reported error (0x80040115) :
'The conneciton to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook
must be online or connected to complete this action.'

Any ideas how we can fix this?
