Hi,
I'm trying to import and excel spreadsheet into an
existing database. I keep getting this error message:
"You entered an expression that has an invalid reference
to the propery |" (that | is the pipe symbol, not the
letter I)
This has worked in the past, but the database had been on
a different computer. We switched hard-drives, we did a
clean install of Access to the new hard-drive and copied
the database from the old to the new hard-drive. This is
the first time we're trying to import an excel file into
this database since the switch.
I'm brand new to Access so please use basic instructions.
I've very quick with software and even following
directions with programing, but I know nothing about
Access, other than trying to follow my predecessor's
instructions (new job, she's training me so she can leave,
she can't figure out the error either).
This is Access 2002, although after I open the database,
the title bar of the window showing the list of existing
tables & queries indicates that the database is Access
2000 format.
Thanks for any help!
Pam
