Errors opening Word and Excel

When I open and close both Word and Excel I get the following errors:

Microsoft Visual Basic

Compile error in hidden module: Autoexec
(in Word)

Autoexecnew when opening and Distmon when closing.
(in Excel)

Has anybody had the same problem?

Does anybody know how to fix it.

Apoligies I did not say that I have Loaded Office 2007 beta

I have now solved the problem!

Basically, it was Adobe Acrobat that caused the problem, which I found from
the Discussion group postings, prior to sending my first mesage.

Thinking that by uninstalling Adobe Acrobat would eliminate the problem I
uninstalled it, but it then presented the errors listed below.

It then occured to me that if I re-insatalled Acrobat it might rectify the
problem, which it did.

Obviously, Adobe or Office 2007 did not clean up the files properly when I
un-installed Adobe.
