Errors - unable to synchronize

If we try to synchronize between PWA and WSS we get the error "Failed to
synchronize users between Project Server and the selected Windows SharePoint
Services Site."

We also tried the synchronize action on the related project WSS Issues site
and got the error "Unknown Error Occured".

Any ideas?

I think its worth mentioning that we just tried the standard PWA to WSS site
synchronization and it too failed but with a different error: "Failed to
synchronize users between Project Server and the selected Windows SharePoint
Services Site."

What errors are you seeing on the Application Logs on the server? This will
help you narrow down the root cause.
