I am really hoping someone can help me! This is lengthy but I wanted to
include all relevant detail...
Last week, I and a couple of other people started receiving the following
error when opening a project on the server:
There was an error opening the enterprise resource pool.
You may not have suffiicent permission to access the selected resource(s).
Would you like to retry?
If l click on Retry, it brings up another window called Select Data Source.
It has 2 tabs: File Data Source and Machine Data Source. On the first tab
there is a field that asks for a DSN name. Not knowing what it was looking
for I clicked on Cancel. When I did that, the project opened with no problem.
If I click on Cancel when I receive the intial error, the project opens
without a problem.
The next problem I ran into was being in a project and selecting Build Team
from Enterprise. I immediately receive a dialog box that says:
An imiport error occurred.
Check row 69 column Reserved_ResumeDate
This is not a valid date, or it is ouside the range for dates, which is
January 1, 1984 through December 31, 2049
Type a date in the correct format: for example, 6/15/00 or June 15,2000.
It then allows me to continue with errors, continue with no errors or stop
importing. If I select to continue importing, I receive a second error
message that is very similar but references Reserve_StopDate.
i have looked in almost every table in the database and cannot find any of
these fields. I don't even know which project to start looking in since we
receive the same error in any project. however, there are some people who
receive both the first and the second error... and some that only receive the
second.
Does anyone have any thoughts to what I can look at? I did modify some of
the Assignment fields in the database for tasks that were no updating
properly. But all I did was change "1"s to "0"s.
Help!!
