errors when opening a word doc as an attachment

I am opening a word document sent to me through my yahoo account has an
attachment. I receive the error of this file could not be found try one or
more of the following.
If I have word open already it works fine.

Any suggestions?

First of all, don't open documents directly from attachments. Not only can
this be dangerous, but if you edit the file you risk losing your edits if
you don't remember to Save As. Instead, save the attachment to your HD, then
open in Word. If you have the same problem opening files from Windows
Explorer, then you may need to reregister Word; see
