Errors when opening Outlook 2000

Gord

Below is my software specs: WinXP Pro(fully updated),
Office 2000-SP3(9.0.0.6627 & Fully updated) and
newly installed Norton Internet Security 2004.

Problem: I have a 2 user account for WinXP and when a
user signs in and Outlook is opened the first time,
the following message appears..

Microsoft Visual ++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program:X:\ProgramFiles\MicrosoftOffice\Office\Outlook.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate
it in an unusual way. Please contact application's
support team for more info.

The odd part is that, once you close the error message
box, Outlook shuts itself down and you can re-open
Outlook with no problems. I have
repaired, uninstalled, reinstalled both Norton and Office
to no avail. There are no viruses on the system and all
programs are legitimate registered versions. There are
no postings of this problem that I can find elsewhere, so
I hope someone can help here.

Thanks,

Gord

Try pressing Alt+F11 during one session of Outlook. This opens the VB
editor and may register whatever seems to be the problem.
