Escape Character for Search Function

Dennis

Is there a way in Outlook 2007 when using the search function to search the
contents of files in folders to escape the charchter '/' ?

What happens if we search 'ies/3201' we find everything with 'ies' but not the
entire literal 'ies/3201'.

I'm wondering if there is a way to escape the / so that it sees it for what it
is.

TIA, Dennis

Hello Dennis,

I switched a long time ago from the Outlook search to a third party search add-in Lookeen. Just tried a similar search with the '/' and it takes the character for what it is. Needed to put the search query in 'qutations', though. Maybe that works with the normal search as well?!? Well, if your interested in Looken find it here: www.lookeen.net

Thanx Frank, I'm going to look into Lookeen. I also found out that leavin out
the '/' works! So ies3210 will find ies/3210. Go figure!
