I'm a newby...
Could you explain to me the meaning of the expression "Extend the Virtual
server" ?
I try to hang it out like the washing, (in French it's the same word) but I
did not find the clothspins ;-(

Thanks

Virtual Server = An instance of an IIS top-level website (For example:
Default Website)

Given that understanding, the clothes line analogy applies nicely. When
you're ready to hang the wash, you stretch (Extend) the rope across the span
from anchor point to anchor point. Similarly, When you apply additional
software functionality to the plain http web site, you "extend" or stretch
its capability. In Microsoft-speak, you can extend a website with either
FrontPage extensions or Windows SharePoint Services.

When you extend a virtual site with Windows SharePoint Services, you get a
bunch of clothespins and some laundry, too!
