ETA of new version?

Just curious is there a eta/quarter for the new Office? (I'm just itching to have the VBA)

Nope, & anyone who claims to know is lying or violating NDA... probably the
former since even Microsoft has nothing more than a general projected
availability [i.e., vague idea] as yet. Seriously, they most likely have a
"target" time frame but it's way too early to be shared publicly --- too
much can hapen in the interim. FWIW, my *guess* is that it's still 12-18
months away.

The official public time lines for Office next are:
PC - First half 2010
Mac - Holidays 2010

So your guesstimate roughly matches Microsoft's guesstimate.
