Has anyone been able to find copies of the EULAs for the Office 2007 products
"before" purchasing them? I was looking for a printable copy, not a phone
conversation where you might not get the same information twice.
I have gone around in circles with tech support (an oxymoron) several times.
On one path I was always give a link to a page where only the 2003 products
could be found. Unfortunately, the Home and Student edition didn't exist
then; at that time they had a Student/Teacher edition.
See: http://www.microsoft.com/office/eula/en.mspx
Another path did take me to a page that looked promising; there actually was
a link that purported to be for the Home and Student edition. But when you
take that link you are presented with a page containing a pulldown list where
you have to try and select your product again. And guess what! There's no
Home and Student package listed. In fact, there's "no packages" listed at
all. See:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA102103171033.aspx
Individual generic components are listed (no specific year), but if you are
looking for the "official EULA" information that says how many times you can
install it with one license as was very explicitly listed for the 2003
Student/Teacher package, it's just not there.
There is a very logical place to put links for this information; on the page
that compares the different packages:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/FX101757671033.aspx
but is it there? NO!
Since Office and Vista have both been in the works for so many years, there
really is no excuse for all of these web page mistakes and misinformation
being provided by tech support.
