EV - best method to show task no longer required

J

john

Hi,

I have a proj2002 schedule with a series of tasks that are
overdue and hence showing up as a schedule variance in our
earned value report.

The reason why the tasks are overdue is based on the fact
that they are no longer needed and no longer planned to be
done.

Apart from deleting the tasks and re-baselining, is there
some other way to leave them in the schedule without
causing a schedule variance?

thanks,

john

Mark them done as of the date that you decided not to do them.

Personally, I would mark them complete and add a note saying "Task No Longer
Needed" and why.
