Evaluation Elapsed

We were carrying out an evaluation of Project server which has now expired.
We are in the process of purchasing a proper license for it. Is it possible
to put the license key (when we get it) onto the original evaluation server,
as I would like to continue using our test server and the data on it for the
time being?

Hi Robin,

From our experience no. You will probably have to reinstall Project Server
with the purchased media.

Thanks for that Marc. I have some projects up on the existing server I would
like to get off, but it's not a big deal if I can't. Can I install the new
installation over the existing one just to get them off? We will be rolling
out Project server officially when we get the new hardware.

Hi Robin,

I would backup the PS database and the Global template. After you installed
PS you can restore both and wont loose anything. ( projects or global
settings)
