Even my IT guy can't figure this out...

I'm the only Mac guy in an all PC office.

We run an Outlook Exchange mail server.

I have Entourage for OS X, version 11.3.6.

Going through the Tools / Accounts / New / Exchange route and typing
my email address in doesn't get me connected. My IT guy has tried it
manually. No dice.

We have installed Parallels on my MacBook Pro, and I am running
Windows and Outlook in order to send mail to my cohorts and send
invites / calendar work.

There must be a better way.

I need some step-by-step help.

I think Thomas has pointed you in the right direction.

Based on your description and results of your problem I'm guessing that
you're trying to use the automatic setup of Entourage rather than the
manual setup. Automatic setup requires some extra setup on the part of
your network folks. They must configure your DHCP and DNS servers to
recognize the automatic setup request you're sending to the network and
then configure them to respond with the appropriate information.

Unfortunately, not even my own employer, which has excellent network
support, supports automatic Entourage configuration.
