One of my users - they are all connected to an Exchange 2003 server - has an
OL2003 SP2 that is constantly crashing & restarting with the following in the
event log:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Microsoft Office 11
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1000
Date: 9/6/2006
Time: 5:03:02 PM
User: N/A
Computer: LR_NY1
Description:
Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.6565.0, stamp 42cacc7d,
faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 00000000, debug? 0, fault
address 0x00000000.
I've looked around for answers, and can tell you the following: NO Terminal
Services are involved; There are NO 3rd Party Comms or Add-Ins with the sole
exception of Symantec Corp AV 10 BUT the crashes don't stop when that is
removed; I have deleted the profile & created another with a different name;
I have run "Detect & Repair;" I have run a profile repair; this started
BEFORE SP2; I have upgraded .NET to V2; and run all MS Office & WinXP
updates. And the PC has been checked for viruses, etc.
AND - while we're at it - IE ALSO crashes repeatedly with the SAME Event &
no hints as to WHY - on the same PC.
The only one that has this problem.
And the answer is ????
