Event Builder?

Denise

Hello,

I would like to build a form as a main page when you open
the database. I just want to have a button that will
bring you to the data entry form when you click it. I
have tried to build an event but I don't think I have the
right idea. It can't be as complicated as entering in
hundreds of lines of code is it? Is there a more
automated process?

Thanks,

Denise

You can use the Switchboard Manager in the Tools/Database
Utilities menu. In there you can customize the
Switchboard form which provides the buttons to open
forms, reports or run macros directly with ease. The you
can go to Tools/Startup so you can set the Switchboard
form to load when the database is opened. It's pretty
easy and requires no coding, unless you wanted to further
customize it.

By the way, the previous explanation works for all
versions of Access, although if you have Access 97 the
Switchboard Manager is in the Tools/Add-Ins menu. The one
I referenced below is for Access XP.
