When trying to import a file we get the following error
"An error occurred accessing your frontpage web files.
Authors - authoring against a web server, please contact
the webmaster for this server's site. WebMasters- please
see the server's system log for more details.
When we go to the even log we find the following
Source FrontPage 4.0
Category- NONE
Event ID 1000
Description:
Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions:
Received empty response from Microsoft FrontPage Server
Extensions. We have Server Extensions 2000, and are
running on a 2000 advanced server.
We first noted this a problem just after SP4 was
installed, and now we uninstalled it and it makes no
difference. We also rebooted the server. Any Suggestions
would be welcomed-

Have you looked at MSKB articles 198123, 259534, 260159,
and 814332?

The context of those articles is a little different, but
they might suggest a starting point.

Jim,
Thank you for the information. The last article is the
closest match I have to maybe resolving this issue. We
still need to update the server extensions to 2002, and
maybe that will make a difference as well.
It is just odd that after you install SP4 that the problem
occured. This person never had issues with importing files
till that service pack was installed.
And even though we removed the SP4 from another machine
that was having similar issues, we still were not able to
get it to work. For some reason our server was not
recording the events either, the event viewer was blank.
So we rebooted the thing.
So I hope this works. If it does not, you will see another
post from me.
Again thanks for the response.
