Events not firing in IE7 on PWA

Gary

I have Project Server 2007 and Project Pro 2007 on XP Pro with IE7.
When I click on a project in Project Center, nothing happens.
Likewise, in the Resource Center, when I click on the checkboxes to
select resources the boxes check/uncheck, but the names are not added/
removed from the selected list.

This used to work. I don't know what happened to stop it from
working, but I've scoured the internet for answers and have checked
all my IE settings, re-installed ActiveX controls, and even
reinstalled IE and Proj Pro.

Anyone know what handles these events behind the scenes so I can make
sure I have everything set properly?

Thanks much!
Gary

P.S. Does anyone know how to tell Proj Pro to NOT open a blank project
when starting it? Every time I have to explicitly tell it to close
and not check in the blank project. I can't find the option or
command line switch to stop it. Thanks!

I have seen this before and it turned out to be profile/machine specific
(i.e. a corrupted profile of some sort). I have seen issues that are
profile/machine specific in 2003 PWA as well.

To verify this, log onto another machine with your windows account to
generate a new profile. If you are able to perform the actions below then I
would say this confirms the profile on your other machine is somehow
corrupted.

If this is the case, you can log in as an administrator to the machine in
question and rename your profile under C:\Documents and Settings\ to
something else by appending OLD to it. Then the next time you log in you
will get a new profile created automatically. Vefiry the issue with MSPS
2007 is resolved. You can then transfer data over from the OLD profile to
your new one.

As for you second question, the only option available to you is to enable
the checkbox in Tools>Options>General Tab to "Open last file on startup".
This will prevent a blank plan from opening but will open the last plan you
had opened before. Sorry if this is not the answer you were hoping for.
