When I work on my Word document, I am not aware of making any changes to a
file called "Normal" or have named any of my files "Normal." But in the last
few weeks, I have been getting the following messages every time when I try
to exit the Word application. On my first attempt to exit, the message
window comes up:
"The file Normal already exists. Do you want to replace the existing file?"
Once I select "No," it takes me to a "save as..." window. After I click on
"Cancel" I am still in the Word application.
Then I try to exit Window a 2nd time, at which point this message comes up:
"Changes have been made the affect the global template, Normal. Do you want
to save those changes?"
After I select "No," it usually takes me out of the Word application.
In the last few days, however, sometimes it another message window will come
up with gibberish and "OK" button. I have to click on the "OK" before I can
exit Word.
Any help to solve this would be really appreciated.
