Every time I type tab I get a table.

I have started a page in a notebook and I had inserted a table in one section
but when I create the next textbox ever time I click tab it creates anouther
table. Is there a way to turn that feature off since its rather agrivating
not to be able to hit tab. I have tried the ctrl+z option used with auto
fomating but it will not allow me to hit tab without creating a table.
