Hi Dan,

It will help us help you if you post back with some additional
information. What version of Office? What version of MacOS? Have you
installed any new fonts or software that installs foonts lately?

Hey Jim

Its office X and my mac is OS X 10.2 and no, I havent added any new
fonts lately. The only office program that doesn't have a problem is
entourage, everything else closes right away

I'm having the same problem as the original poster. I'm on a powerbook
g4 running 10.2.8 and I'm using Office v. X.

I have not installed any new fonts or apps that would install fonts.

I have gone though as much as I can from Microsoft's knowledge base
article "Office v.X program unexpectedly quits after splash screen
appears." I don't have OS9 installed so I could not follow of the
resolution instructions.

I just installed and ran FontDoctor 6.0.1 in demo mode. It won't fix
any font problems, but it will check for problems. None of the font
folders had anything wrong.

Should I try re-installing Office? Will it make a difference?
