Everytime i open Word -03, the computer freezes, why?

[Help!!!!]

i am using Microsoft Word 2003, everytime i open a document for Microsoft
Word, the computer freezes. Sometimes I could open it in safe mode. It used
to work fine but i dont know what happened. I thought it was because of a
document that i saved but i deleted as many word documents as i can.

If Word has started hanging on File>SaveAs and File>Open in the last couple
of days, this is because of a problem with a recently released Hotfix.

You can remove it from Add/Remove Programs, where it shows as "Security
Update for Windows XP (KB908531)". Make sure the "show updates" box at the
top is ticked or you won't see hotfixes in the list.

This Hotfix doesn't cause this problems on all PCs so don't uninstall if you
aren't having this problem, as it fixes a vulnerability in Explorer.
