Everytime I send/recieve in Outlook 2003, it crashes.

I use Outlook 2003, and cannot send or receive messages. If I have no
messages in the outbox, it hangs for about 5 seconds, and then displays a
"This program needs to close" box with no error message. If there is a
message in the outbox, it just hangs. I have downloaded all available updates
to no avail. I use SBC email, and have confirmed my settings manually, as
well as with the Yahoo! self-diagnostic program.

What can I do?

Did you delete the SRS file?

I tried that just now, and it doesn't seem to help. It's also worth noting
that I deleted the PST (at 3+ gigs!) file when this problem started, and it
went away for a few days. Any other suggestions? Thank you for your help so
far!
